Halo 5 Re-creation Map

Project Goal
This came from seeing Max Hoberman sharing old design insight from his days working on Halo 2. One thing he shared was the original layout for a map that never made it into the game. I wanted to take that layout and prove to myself that I could create a level using someone else's concept.
Work Summary

Started with testing metrics to see if I could make the bases actually work with Halo 5

Built the 3 main structures and found placement to fit the game's metrics

Once functional geometry was in, I worked to make the map have a fitting look to it, while also making it easy for players to know where they are at a glance

Added small details (named areas, FX, killzones) to make the map fully functional in a proper multiplayer match
Outcome
I was able to make a map that ended up being fairly close to the layout, or at least my interpretation of it. When I play the map, I can picture the layout and where I am on it. That said, I didn't have any insight from a team or other testers, so it's hard to know for sure if it matches the original vision.
