Project Goal
To create a level large enough to warrant using a Landscape (terrain) in Unreal Engine 4, learning how to work with Landscapes, and creating a closed-loop project that showcases my level design skills.
Work Summary

Created a basic heightmap to give myself a starting point for the Landscape

Learned how to create a basic Landscape material, with different visual layers that could be painted easily

Did some scripting for puzzles and level functionality with UE4's Blueprints
Outcome
I'm pretty happy with this overall. I was able to teach myself the basics of sculpting and how to use various brushes. The landscape as a whole feels like a solid first serious attempt. I found determining how much foliage to place to be a rather interesting challenge on its own.
